This weekend sees the 2016 Classic Motor Show take place at the Birmingham NEC, with around 2,500 classic cars and motorcycles expected to attract over 70,000 visitors to the event.

Over 250 classic vehicle clubs will help the event organisers showcase a wide spectrum of motoring history, creating a timeline of historic vehicles right up to future classics.

A packed programme includes Live Stage featuring stars such as Mike Brewer and Edd China from TV’s Wheeler Dealers, For the Love of Cars’ Ant Anstead, and Fuzz Townshend of Car SOS fame, as well as special guests including motor racing national treasure Sir Stirling Moss. Other features include a two day sale conducted by Silverstone Auctions, a Restoration Theatre, and over 600 trade stands.

Classic Motor Show Event Director Daniel Nwaokolo said: “As ever the clubs are pulling out all the stops for this year’s show but we’ve also added some new elements too – including much more movement of vehicles in and around the show.  Our popular Star Cars feature from 2015, where our celebrities curate the vehicles included, has been repositioned nearer the stage so we can fire these cars up and drive them onto the stage so people can get a closer look throughout the show. We’ve also added a brand new feature for 2016, working with HERO Events to bring their ‘Drive a Classic Car Experience’ to the show, where enthusiasts can get behind the wheel and take amazing classics out on the road. This has already proved popular with pre-bookings but will be available on the day too.”

Pricing and tickets for the event, which runs from 11-13 November, are available at www.necclassicmotorshow.com
