Chevrolet has previewed seven new performance-oriented concept cars ahead of the SEMA show in Las Vegas next month.
The first three concept cars are based around the Chevrolet Sonic (or the Aveo, as it's known in the UK). The Sonic RS concept (above) is a performance version of the supermini, with upgrades including a cold-air induction kit, a high-performance exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, track-tuned suspension, yellow paintwork with blue graphics and a range of cosmetic tweaks.
The Ricky Carmichael All-Activity Sonic concept (above) celebrates the X-games champion and Nascar racer and again includes a range of performance upgrades. The exterior is painted in satin black with custom graphics.
Rounding off the Sonic concepts, the Personalization Sonic concept also gets a range of performance enhancements but is most notable for its cosmetic enhancements, many of which will be changed during the show, giving the car a different appearance as the show progresses.
Also on show will be the Spark EV Tech Performance concept (above) which, as its name suggest, features a GM-built electric motor which produces 400lb-ft of torque, giving a 0-60mph time of 7.5 seconds.
The Urban Cool Impala concept (above) gets a range of aesthetic improvements including 20-inch wheels and custom-painted grille accents, while the Malibu LTZ concept gets a new exhaust, a cold-air induction system and a new front end.
Finally, the Personalization Cruze Diesel concept has been modified by tuner 3dCarbon, featuring a number of visual tweaks and an upgraded sound system.
The SEMA Show runs from 5 to 8 November.
