This is the Brabus B63S 700 6x6, a new six-wheel drive 700bhp Mercedes which seems to have been developed specifically to make small children cry upon the sight of it.

No, seriously. Have you ever seen such an imposing and slightly scary car in your entire life? What Brabus has done is take the already quite bonkers Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 and, on the basis that 'more power = better', extracted another 127bhp from its twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, bringing the total up to a whopping 690bhp. On top of this, you get 708lb-ft of torque -- 147lb-ft more than the standard car -- which should make the Brabus capable of towing pretty much anything, should you feel so inclined.

Brabus achieves this by taking the Mercedes turbochargers fitted to the G63 and promptly chucking them in the bin, replacing them with two new Brabus turbos with larger compressor units, producing a higher boost pressure. The ECU has also been tweaked and a new stainless-steel sports exhaust fitted. Brabus has even trimmed the intake and turbo pipes in gold leaf to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine.

The result of all this fettling? Well Brabus claims the B63S will hit 62mph in 7.4 seconds, which is pretty impressive considering the car weighs the best part of four tonnes. Top speed is limited to 100mph thanks to those massive off-road tyres.

The changes aren't just limited to under the bonnet though. Brabus has given the B63S a carbon-fibre bonnet scoop, carbon-fibre wheel arches, new front and rear bumpers, dark-tinted LED lights and mirror-polished underbody protection, the last of which seems slightly mad given that the B63S is ostensibly an off-roader. Inside, Brabus has given the B63S the look of a high-class brothel, with red-leather, aluminium and alcantara as far as the eye can see.

The price for all of this swivel-eyed lunacy? Well, Brabus hasn't revealed any specific production or pricing details but it has confirmed that it is considering a limited production run of ten models, all priced at more than £400,000.
