The Audi A1 has added to its list of achievements by winning its second fleet award of the year, walking away with the ‘Best Small Car’ title at the 2011 Fleet World Honours.

With a new accolade from the 2011 Fleet World Honours for Best Small Car the Audi A1 is continuing its dominance of the awards circuit, and has now won an amazing five car awards in five months.

Steve Moody, the Editor of Fleet World, explained the car's success by saying that "Audi's new A1 is just so desirable, combining chunky good looks with the firm's meticulous attention to detail and quality. It might not be the cheapest supermini, but strong performance on the used market will balance the books. Pre-launch, it always looked like being a winner - now on fleet, it has proved it."

The ceremony, which was held earlier today at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, is judged by the editorial team from Fleet World and is based on industry data provided by a wide range of organisations including ING Car Lease, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, ALD Automotive, SMMT and EurotaxGlass.

Previous awards which the Audi A1 has walked away with this year are 'Best Small Hatchback' from Parkers New Car Awards, 'Best Luxury Small Car' from the CarBuyer Awards, and both 'Supermini of the Year' and 'Car of the Year' from the What Car? Magazine Awards.

The price range for a new A1 goes from £13,420 OTR for the entry level 1.2 TFSI 87bhp SE model, up to £20,710 OTR for a range topping 1.4 TFSI 188bhp model.
