Aston Martin is celebrating its millionth fan on the social networking site, Facebook, by building a special commemorative car designed by the fans themselves.

Aston's fans will be given the opportunity to answer a series of questions through which they will specify their dream Aston. They will choose the model, paint finish, trim and stitching, and the winning design will be built by Aston next year. Each participant will also receive a certificate of the chosen design.

Aston Martin joined Facebook in 2009 and since then has seen its Facebook followers increasing in numbers to the tune of about five thousand per week.

The final Aston Martin design will be shown at a number of public events throughout 2012.
