Alfa Romeo UK has trumpeted the success of its Alfa Giulietta, which sold 7,113 models in the UK last year alone.

Both the Alfa MiTo and Alfa Giulietta have been instrumental in seeing Alfa's sales rise.

Since its launch, more than 10,000 Giuliettas have been sold in the UK. UK consumers can purchase this vehicle from £21,855 OTR.

Alfa Romeo also claim that the Giulietta is 'the safest car in its class'. The manufacturer pointed to the car's recent MultiAir engine technology award, five star Euro-NCAP safety ratings and D.N.A system as significant reasons for the vehicle's high safety levels.

The Giulietta reaches a top speed of 135 mph and takes 7.7 seconds to accelerate from 0-62 mph. It is powered by a 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp engine. "Even with this excellent performance, fuel consumption and emissions are extraordinarily low," stressed Alfa.

The vehicle emits 121g/km of CO2. Alfa Romeo pointed out that these kind of figures make the Giulietta one of the most environmentally-friendly and efficient petrol-powered compacts on the market.

British consumers interested in purchasing this vehicle have a range of four different versions to choose from.

These include the 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp ALFA TCT Lusso from £21,855; the 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp ALFA TCT Veloce from £23,155; the 2.0 JTDM-2 170 bhp ALFA TCT Lusso from £23,550; and the 2.0 JTDM-2 170 bhp ALFA TCT Veloce from £24,800.00.

The manufacturer stressed information specifically for fleet buyers and company car drivers:

"The 1.4 TB 170 bhp MultiAir engine with ALFA TCT records the highest horsepower to BIK percentage for a petrol engine in the C segment, and proves that performance doesn't have to come at the cost of a high tax bill."
