Audi say they have made improvements to the basic features, fuel efficiency and outer appearance of the latest Q3 range.
The team developing Audi’s reworking of the already popular Audi Q3 were briefed to focus on style, safety, efficiency, equipment and power; they claim to have succeeded on all fronts and will begin to take orders later this month with prices starting at £25,340. Both the Q3 and its RS version are expected to arrive next spring.
Three trim levels will be available; SE, S line and S line plus. Across all options the stylish character of its exterior is striking as ever; reworked bumpers and a wrap-around tailgate join forces with a new 3D effect Single frame grill and revised alloy wheels. New headlights will use xenon bulbs and LED daytime running lights as standard in the SE version.
The 1.4 litre TFSI petrol engine which has featured in the A1 and A3 ranges before now, will take its place in the new Q3; it will be available in a manual or S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmission and will offer 150PS. The Q3 will accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and Audi claim it can bring fuel efficiency of up to 50.4 mpg. Pricing and full specification will be released nearer to the January launch date.
