Chevrolet has announced it will launch a facelifted version of its Camaro SS for the 2014 model year at the New York Motor Show next week.

The company claims that the revised model represents "the most significant change for the fifth-generation Camaro," which has been in production since 2009 and has been the most popular sports car in America for three consecutive years.

No information on the new Camaro has been released so far, but Chevrolet has revealed a small teaser image showing the car's grille. Unfortunately, like all teaser images, it tells us the square root of diddly-squat about the new car.

The new Camaro will join the Corvette Stingray and the new SS saloon on the Chevrolet stand at the New York Motor Show from 27 March.
