Peugeot has revealed the new 308 SW estate, which will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

With 610-litres of boot space on offer with the rear seats up, the new 308 SW offers more luggage space than any car in the class, including the Volkswagen Golf estate and the Ford Focus estate.

The 308 SW shares its platform with the standard 308 and features the same wheelbase as the hatchback. However, the estate is around 30cm longer than the hatch, measuring 4,580mm in length and 4,253mm in width.

Despite the increase in size, however, the new 308 SW is around 140kg lighter than its predecessor, thanks to Peugeot's new EMP2 architecture.

The engine range for the new 308 SW will mirror that of the hatchback, featuring a range of Euro 6 petrol and diesel engine, including a new ultra-frugal BlueHDI diesel which will offer CO2 emissions of just 85g/km.
