The FIA World Rally Championship returns at the start of next month following a six-month coronavirus-enforced hiatus.
Rally Estonia takes place from 4-6 September, becoming the fourth round of this year’s championship with Monte Carlo, Sweden, and Mexico having been staged before the global lockdown.
The UK’s Elfyn Evans is well positioned in the standings having enjoyed his best-ever start to a WRC season. The Welshman briefly topped the standings after the Swedish round - becoming the first British driver ever to win the challenging Scandinavian event - but now trails Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT team-mate Sebastian Ogier, a six-time world champion.
The revised calendar sees the WRC circus move onto Turkey, Germany, Italy and Belgium following Estonia, for what will be a truncated season. Sadly, the Wales Rally GB, which was cancelled back in June, will not take place and it is yet to be confirmed that the event will return as part of 2021 World Rally Championship calendar.
