Volkswagen’s new Tiguan SUV is now available on the Motability Scheme.
Advance payments start from just £1,499 for the Tiguan S 2.0 TDI SCR BMT 2WD model. The Motability Scheme is open to customers in receipt of the Higher Rate Motability Allowance, the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment, the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement, or the Armed Forces Independence Payment. The new Tiguan joins the up!, Polo, Golf, Golf Estate, Beetle, Passat, Passat Estate, Scirocco, Touran and Sharan as Volkswagen models available under the scheme.
All Tiguan models from S trim upwards include Lane Assist, Front Assist, speed-sensitive power-assisted steering, automatic windscreen wipers, and push-button electronic handbrake. With a suite of airbags and a pedestrian-friendly active bonnet, the Tiguan boasts a full five star Euro NCAP safety rating. The Tiguan’s 2.0-litre diesel engine is equipped with Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technology including Start/Stop function, while models with DSG automatic transmission have a coasting function. An eight-inch colour touchscreen on the dashboard enables access to the Composition Media infotainment system which includes a Bluetooth telephone connection, DAB digital radio and CD player, SD card reader, and music title and cover art display. The audio system has eight speakers. When the rear 40:20:20 split rear seats are folded the boot capacity rises from 615 litres to 1,655 litres.
Tiguan SE models add electronic air conditioning, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a multifunction colour display and exclusive 18-inch Patagonia wheels to the mix.
