Volkswagen has released full details of its new cross up! ahead of the car's debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The cross up! is a city car-cum-mini SUV, very much in the flavour of the Fiat Panda 4x4, with black body cladding for the wheel arches and side sills, roof rails, bigger bumpers and 16-inch alloy wheels. Unlike the Panda, however, the cross up! will be available in front wheel-drive only, with a choice between the 59bhp and 74bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder engines fitted to the standard car.

On the inside, the cross up! gets new upholstery and floor mats, as well as extra chrome trim and an updated instrument panel.

The thing is, VW is still uncertain whether it will offer the cross up! for sale in the UK.

So, is the cross up! something you'd like to see in VW dealerships? Leave your comments below.
