Land Rover have teamed up with Victoria Beckham to create a new Range Rover Evoque Special Edition.
Over the last 18 months, the former Spice Girl has been working with Range Rover to design her own Special Edition vehicle.
Victoria Beckham and Gerry McGovern (Director of Design at Land Rover) introduced the new Range Rover Evoque Special Edition to the world at the Beijing Motor Show.
Victoria Beckham, who has been working on the car's design since July 2010, said she is very excited to be working with the company as she has an enormous amount of respect for the brand. "I've always driven a Range Rover, for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury," she stated.
Commenting on the vehicle's design, she added, "It's the small detail that makes all the difference. I want everyone who gets into this car to feel special and empowered by its quality and craftsmanship. I like that it feels luxurious but also has quite a classic edge to it as well as a contemporary feel."
Technical details
The exclusive car is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 237bhp and 251lb-ft of torque. The car also features four-wheel drive and the award-winning Terrain Response system.
One of its most exclusive characteristics is the surround Camera System, which offers a 360-degree view of the car's surroundings. Additionally, the interior of the vehicle features other luxury items such as digital and satellite television, DVD playback, 10-disc virtual CD multiplayer and digital radio tuners.
The vehicle will go on sale in the Chinese market initially, with deliveries starting from this October. The projected price for UK car buyers is £79,995.
"Both Land Rover and Victoria Beckham are British luxury brands with credibility and global appeal, this dual 'Britishness' makes the collaboration even more exciting especially when considering the huge audience for bespoke products around the world," added McGovern.
