Saab aficionados will have the chance to snap up a unique example of the marque this Saturday when Classic Car Auctions’ Christmas Sale takes place at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre in Leamington Spa.
Topping the bill is a time warp example of Saab’s iconic 96, which has covered just 3,010 miles. The 1978 Saab 96L Souvenir V4 is number 150 of the final batch 150 right-hand drive models produced for the UK market, and the Cardinal Red example remains in factory original condition throughout. The Saab 96 had a 13-year production run, enjoying international rally success in that time, particularly in the hands of the legendary Eric Carlsson who died earlier this year.
Joining the time warp Saab 96 on the auction list are some other exceptional low mileage classics, including a one-owner-from-new 1980 MGB with just 181 miles on the clock. A 1975 VW Beetle which has covered just 8,762 miles is also up for grabs, alongside a 1977 Mini Clubman which has been off the road for thirty years with just 8,703 miles on the clock.
