Vauxhall have revealed their planned timescale for the introduction of the Astra GTC.

It first appeared as a concept at last year's Paris Motor Show, but Vauxhall have now officially announced that the 3-door, 5-seat Astra GTC will be entering mainstream production.

Vauxhall have already produced test cars which are currently undergoing final validation, but have not released photographs of these.  However they have, to coincide with the official announcement, released computer generated images of how the new Astra GTC will look, set against a cityscape backdrop.

Vauxhall have announced that order books for the Astra GTC will open from 7th June.  At the same time the company will confirm full details of the model, including price structure, equipment, engine options, and technology.

The announcement goes on to state that the production version of the Vauxhall Astra GTC will make it world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 15th September, with a planned UK showroom launch in late autumn.
