Next month marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the ground-breaking Nissan Qashqai.
The Qashqai pioneered crossover design, blending the practicality of an SUV with the efficiency and performance of a traditional hatchback, a style which has since become a staple of the UK car market. An instant sales hit, almost 100,000 Nissan Qasqhais were sold by the end of that first year, and since launch over 2.3 million examples have rolled off Nissan’s Sunderland production line.
Last year, the Qashqai was the UK’s best-selling medium-sized SUV, and the UK’s 5th best-selling car overall. Nissan have continued to develop the model, and over time features such as Around View Monitor and Intelligent Park Assist have been added to the model.
Nissan have commenced the Qashqai’s birthday celebrations with a film titled ’10 Years of Success’, available to view on the Nissan Youtube channel.
