Two Subaru models have been added to the nationwide Motability scheme, with the XV and Forester now available for lease via the government-funded mobility allowance.
Available via Motability-registered Subaru UK dealerships, the Japanese manufacturer is anticipating from Motability customers for its best-selling Forester SUV and XV models. Both of the all-wheel drive models boast five-star Euro NCAP safety ratings, performing strongly in the occupant protection category.
Available to customers receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, the Motability scheme has so far helped over three million people access new vehicles, with benefits including insurance, servicing, maintenance, and breakdown cover, and with a current operating fleet of over 630,000 vehicles the Motability fleet is the largest in Europe. To cope with the increased demand Subaru is joining forces with Motability to provide training courses for its UK dealers, expanding its Motability-approved dealer network during 2015 to cope with the increased demand.
Paul Tunnicliffe, Managing Director of Subaru UK, commented: “We are pleased to be able to offer two of our most practical cars under Motability, a scheme which benefits thousands of people in the UK every year. The Forester and XV are particularly well-suited with their excellent safety and reliability record, high levels of practicality and ‘go-anywhere’ All-Wheel Drive abilities.”
