Skoda has released the first official snaps of its facelifted Superb, which will go on display at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month.
Although on first glance you could be forgiven for not noticing the changes, Skoda claims that the new car features a "completely new" front and rear end, with everything from the A-pillar forwards undergoing a complete redesign.
The Superb gets a new grille, new headlights and fog lights, a new bonnet and new front wings. The redesigned headlights bring the Superb in line with Skoda's new design language and are available as bi-xenons with integrated LED daytime-running lights for the first time.
At the rear end, both the hatchback and estate have been redesigned and feature new LED lights. Two new paint finishes -- Meteor Grey and Moon White -- and new alloy wheels are also on offer.
Stop-start and energy recuperation technology is fitted as standard to all diesel Superbs, offering fuel economy improvements of up to 19 per cent. The super-frugal Superb GreenLine offers fuel consumption of 67.3 mpg, with CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
The new, revised Skoda Superb will go on display at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month and will be launched in Europe in June.
