Images of what appears to be a new, more traditional hatchback version of the Skoda Rapid, the Spaceback, have been leaked on a Czech internet forum.
The pictures are believed to be taken from Skoda's online configurator and have since been removed from the website.
The Spaceback is set to join the Rapid range alongside the existing liftback model later this year and is likely to be branded as Combi in some European markets.
Skoda will unveil the new Rapid Spaceback at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Very little is known about the Spaceback but it seems highly likely that the range will mirror that of the standard car, with the same engines and trim levels available across both ranges. It also seems likely that a SEAT version of the Spaceback will be offered, especially given the strong link between the Rapid hatchback and the SEAT Toledo.
