The Skoda Octavia is celebrating a milestone birthday.
Skoda launched the original Octavia in 1959, and since the model was revived in 1996 it has gone on to become a multi-million seller for the Czech brand. Over half-a-million Octavias have been sold in the UK since the original model hit these shores six decades ago.
The latest generation Octavia was launched in 2013, and the current range offers far more choice than its 1950s ancestor with nine equipment levels, fourteen engine and gearbox combinations, and two body styles.
Almost 18,000 Skoda Octavias were sold in the UK last year, with the sporty vRS model accounting for a fifth of that figure.
