New figures show that the SEAT Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra offers excellent resale value.
Introduced in the UK in 2009 and retailing brand new for £18,655, figures released from used car guide CAP show that a 12-month-old Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra with around 10,000 miles on the clock can sell for 77% of its original showroom price.
“Demand for the Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra is exceptionally strong from dealers desperate to get their hands on the car,” says SEAT UK Used Car Manager, David Ardern.
“It’s no surprise, perhaps, that this very special Ibiza’s combination of hot hatch performance and stand-out styling has buyers queuing up.”
According to the latest edition of the CAP Black Book, the Ibiza performs better in resale value terms than other similar vehicles. For example, a 12-month-old BMW Z4 2.3i sDrive, retains just over 71% of its retail price; while a Mercedes-Benz C250 CGI automatic with a year on the road could sell for around 67% of what a new car buyer would pay for it.
The SEAT Ibiza is the Spanish car manufacturers’ most successful car to date. Since 2008 more than 500,000 people have opted for one of the Ibiza models.
In January, SEAT announced details of the new generation Ibiza. The new line-up offers a range of different models that have been designed to meet differing driving tastes and demands. These include the compact and sporty three-door Ibiza SC, the universally popular five-door Ibiza and the elegantly practical Ibiza ST estate car.
The turbocharged, supercharged 1.4 TSI Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra features unique designs such as blackened double headlights, a central grille with honeycomb mesh, and black surround including innovative air vents at the base.
On the inside, the sports seats are upholstered with special fabric made up of rhomboids stitched together in red.
