The current generation SEAT Leon has achieved hit the important one million sales milestone.
Launched in 2012, the current Leon is the third generation of SEAT's biggest-selling model, and during that time it has helped the brand almost double its sales worldwide. SEAT sold 314,300 cars in the first six months of this year, and one-in-four of those were Leons.
SEAT President Luca de Meo explained, "The SEAT Leon, and in particular the third generation, is the true pillar of the brand. It is the most widely recognised and appreciated car by SEAT customers on all five continents.”
This October marks 20 years since the launch of the original SEAT Leon. In total, 534,797 were sold, and the second generation built on that success with 675,915 examples sold. However, it is the current million-selling Leon model which has proved to be a global hit for SEAT.
The Leon is available at SEAT retailers priced from £18,350 on-the-road.
