Three new cars from the seven year old joint venture between Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen are making their debut at the 2012 Brussels Motor Show.
New Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107, produced as part of a seven year old joint venture between the three manufacturers, are being given their global debut at this year's Brussels Motor Show.
The three cars, which are all built on the same platform, are important models for each of their respective makers. The C1, for example, is Citroen's best-selling car in the UK with 15,000 sales in 2011, while the Peugeot 107 has sold close to 100,000 units since it was first launched in 2005.
The three new models being released this year have been designed to increase the difference between each of the three cars, giving each their own unique identity and features. The C1, for example now features LED daytime running lights, integrated Bluetooth system and an electronic gearbox with steering-wheel mounted paddle shift.
The latest 1.0-litre engine, which is the same in each car, features CO2 emissions that are down to 99g/km, breaking the important 100g/km barrier which qualifies cars for zero vehicle excise duty and exempts them from the London Congestion Charge.
