The new Renault ZOE has made a strong entry into the UK EV market.
A total of 947 were registered in June, the ZOE’s first full month since launch, placing it second overall for UK electric vehicle sales with a 10.64% share of the market sector. That figure means 1,400 new ZOEs have been sold in 2020, only 122 less than the previous model had sold in the first six months of last year which is remarkable given the UK lockdown and enforced dealership closures. Unlike other sectors, the EV sector remains buoyant.
The new ZOE’s 100kW R135 electric motor and all-new 52kWh battery gives it a range of up to 245 miles on a single charge. Charging from 0-80% is possible in just one hour and ten minutes thanks to the ZOE’s new 50kW DC charging option. The new ZOE boasts the latest in infotainment technology including a 10-inch TFT instrument cluster and new 9.3-inch portrait format touchscreen.
The new ZOE is available at Renault retailers from £26,495 on-the-road.
