Auction-goers will have the opportunity to snap up an as-new MG ZT at Classic Car Auctions’ September sale in Warwickshire.
The car’s one-and-only owner bought the 1.8 Turbo new in 2004 when a Derby dealer began selling off stock at half price following the collapse of MG Rover. It was delivered to the owner’s Northamptonshire farm with one mile on the clock, covering a further two being driven down the driveway to a heated garage. Subsequently stored in a Carcoon and then a Car Bag, the mileage remains unchanged at three miles.
The British Racing Green model still has its original ContiSport tyres and the same fuel that was put in the tank 11 years ago. Its high spec interior with half leather seats, green alcantara door lining, air con, and CD player, retains the new car smell according to the auctioneers. Probably the best condition and lowest mileage MG ZT in existence, the car is estimated to fetch between £8,500 to £10,500 when it goes under the hammer at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on 24 September.
