Lexus have revealed their new GS 250 luxury saloon at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China.
The GS 250 is powered by a V6 2.5-litre petrol producing 206bhp and 187lb-ft of torque. This gets the GS 250 from 0-62mph in a brisk 8.6 seconds and on to a stop speed of 142mph. D-4S direct port injection and Dual VVT-I intelligent valve timing help the GS 250 achieve a combined fuel consumption figure of 31.7mpg with CO2 emissions at 207g/km. The power is delivered to the road through a six-speed auto 'box with a sequential manual shift function.
The bodyshell of the new car is 14% stiffer than before and the front and rear suspension have been tweaked which should make the car more interesting through the corners. There is also more space inside with improved headroom and legroom for rear seat passengers.
The GS 250 will go on sale in the UK next June and, although there is no word on prices yet, there will be more details to come nearer the time.
