Ford will present its new Ford Tourneo Custom Concept to the world at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
According to Ford, its latest creation will prioritise space, style and functionality. Designed with eight seats suited to personal use, lifestyle and executive shuttle sectors, comfort and design will make the Ford Tourneo a superior driving experience for consumers.
Further features that the Ford Tourneo Custom Concept will include are multi-adjustable and removable rear seating that can be adapted for business or leisure purposes, as well as innovative technology such as the SYNC voice-activated system.
On top of this, families and professionals will be able to protect the environment at the same time thanks to the Ford low-CO2 ECOnetic Technologies - which will help achieve best-in-class fuel economy.
Kinetic Design
In addition, the Ford Tourneo Custom Concept will embody the same dynamic character as Ford's Kinetic Design passenger cars.
Paul Campbell, Chief Designer at Ford of Europe, explained that they aimed to create a design with clean, futuristic lines and with a real sense of occasion.
"With its sportier stance, bold rising shoulder line and flush glazing, the Tourneo Custom Concept brings something fresh and exciting to this class of people mover. By applying the latest Kinetic Design principles, the design has a completely new style and drama," he added.
Chairman and CEO at Ford of Europe, Stephen Odell, stressed that their forthcoming new range gives Ford the opportunity to appeal to new customers with a fresh new direction, "we have seized that opportunity with both hands," admitted Campbell.
"We are excited to present this significant new concept in Geneva. The Tourneo Custom's car-like qualities will be appreciated by a broad range of business and leisure customers, and this is a fitting venue to present the vehicle for the first time," added Odell.
