Kia have announced details of the new cee'd, which will be unveiled at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

The latest incarnation of the cee'd will supercede the model launched in Geneva six years ago. The overall design will be longer, wider, and lower than its predecessor, with a rakish front screen and lengthened side windows. A new front end features an updated example of Kia's trademark grille, and wraparound lamps with LED daytime running lights, as well as bolder Kia badging.

Inside, a completely new interior has improved switchgear and features touch-screen technology. The control panel wraps around the steering wheel, resulting in what Kia claims is a more ergonomic layout, while audio and air-conditioning controls have been segregated. Instruments and switches are picked out in chrome, in what the manufacturer claims will be an interior with an overall higher quality feel than the model it replaces.
