The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has passed the 80,000 sales milestone just a year after it was launched.

The fusion of SUV functionality and coupe styling has proved a hit with buyers, particularly in Europe where over 33,000 have been sold in the past 12 months.

Mitsubishi have announced a range of new features and options as the Eclipse Cross enters its second year on the market. This includes a special Black Edition model limited to just 500 units, new on-board Mitsubishi Connect telematics on selected models, new machine-finished 16-inch alloy wheels on the Eclipse Cross 2, Active Yaw Brake Control as an option on 2WD versions, auto-dimming rear view mirror on Eclipse Cross 3 and 4 models, and a new Lightning Blue pearlescent paint option available across the range.

Prices for the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross start from £21,290 on-the-road.
