MINI has expanded its model line-up yet further with the launch of the new MINI Clubvan.
The Clubvan -- which will be unveiled at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed -- is essentially a van version of the Clubman with the same five doors but only two seats.
You get a full 860-litres of storage space and a maximum payload capacity of 500kg. At its narrowest points, the load area is 102cm wide and 115cm deep.
A choice of three 1.6-litre engines will be on offer: a 98bhp petrol unit in the MINI One Clubvan, a 122bhp petrol engine in the MINI Cooper Clubman, and a 112bhp diesel in the MINI Cooper D Clubvan. The Cooper D manages an impressive 72.4mpg and emits just 103g/km of CO2 thanks to start/stop and brake energy recuperation technology.
As with all MINIs, buyers will be able to customise their car heavily, and the Clubvan is available in four different exterior colours: Pepper White, British Racing Green metallic, Ice Blue and Midnight Black metallic.
Because the Clubvan is a commercial vehicle, business users will be able to claim back the VAT on their purchase. Prices for the Clubvan (excluding VAT) start at £11,175 for the One, rising to £13,600 for the Cooper D.
