MG had special reason to celebrate this fourth of July, as that date saw it reach 4,441 new registrations this year.
That figure is significant, as it means with little over half the year gone, MG have already surpassed the total number of new cars sold during the whole of 2018. With the recent launch of the all-new MG ZS compact SUV - priced from £12,495 on-the-road – and the new MG3 to follow in September, MG aims to double its sales figures this year. The MG dealer network will grow by a further five outlets this month as the company remains on course to achieve that lofty ambition.
Daniel Gregorious, Head of Sales & Marketing at MG Motor UK, said: “To beat last year’s sales volume halfway through the year is a significant milestone for MG. This is just the start of our growth and we’ll be redoubling our efforts to ensure that we maintain this momentum throughout the remainder of the year.”
