MG has confirmed that it new CS SUV concept will make its debut at the Shanghai Motor Show later this week.
These first official images show how the concept, which was designed by MG's Global Design Director, Anthony Williams-Kenny, will look. MG claims that the concept "oozes British design flair while embracing the sporting DNA of MG."
The CS features a number of unique styling traits, including headlights which have a "multi-faceted 'shard' structure" which refracts light in different colours and shapes from the side, but forms the iconic MG hexagon at the front.
The CS Concept appears to be a highly-refined version of the Icon SUV concept which was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show last year.
Details of the car's powertrain have yet to be revealed, but it seems likely that the CS will share the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine which will be used in the forthcoming MG5.
MG claims that the CS will "expand the global reach of the MG brand;" however, it is unclear whether or not the car will be offered in the UK market.
