Mercedes Benz is preparing for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show at which it will host the world premiere of the C-Class Coupe.
The new car is Merc's first coupe offering in this segment and is styled closely on the C-Class saloon. There will be a choice of three petrol engines and two oil burners, all equipped with direct fuel injection and start/stop. All engines will be classed as BlueEFFICIENCY, denoting fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness.
Also on show will be the new C63 AMG and the new SLK roadster.
Mercedes will also be showing off its E200 NGT BlueEFFICIENCY model, a model with bi-fuel natural gas drive. The E200 NGT can run on either natural gas or traditional unleaded and utilises Merc's tried and tested 163bhp four-pot Kompressor engine. Running the car on natural gas apparently has no bearing on performance, and offers a 10% improvement in fuel economy and a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.
The Geneva Motor Show starts on Thursday and runs until the 13th of March.
