Mazda have provided a New Year’s boost to Motability customers by opening up the vast majority of its UK range to the Government-backed scheme.
Until the end of March, customers eligible for the Motability scheme will be able to choose from the entire range of Mazda models, including the Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda5 people carrier, Mazda6, the MazdaCX-5 compact crossover, and even the Mazda MX-5 two-seater.
The move follows the successful introduction of the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-5 to the Motability programme during the final three months of last year. Those offers proved popular with Motability customers, with the five-door Mazda3 2.0 SE available with nil advance payment.
The nil advance payment terms now include the 1.3-litre, and 1.5-litre automatic Mazda2 models, with the range priced from £11,195 on-the-road. With the exception of the 1.5-litre petrol model, all variants of the Mazda3 range will available to Motability customers priced from £16,995. The high seat, slide-door access Mazda5 is available in both 2.0-litre petrol manual or 1.6-litre diesel manual form, priced from £20,495.
Most models in the family-sized Mazda6 range, which includes both saloon and estate versions powered by a choice of frugal SKYACTIV petrol and diesel engines, are also included on the scheme priced from £19,595. Meanwhile, the CX-5, a popular addition to the scheme the latter part of 2014, is available from £21,895, and the Mazda MX-5 sports car joins the Mazda Motability line-up priced from £18,495.
Steve Tomlinson, Head of Fleet for Mazda UK said: “Mazda’s Motability programme now gives people in receipt of the Disability Living Allowance, the widest choice of vehicles ever. In the final quarter of 2014 Mazda saw the value in offering a comprehensive Motability programme and we are delighted to be able to roll it forward in 2015 giving allowance recipients almost certainly the broadest range of choice in Mazda’s history.”
