Fiat have opened the order books for a limited edition of their new 500X crossover model.
Just 500 examples of the Fiat 500X Opening Edition will be produced, with prices starting from £17,595. Of those, 325 will be variants of the 4x2 City Look model, with a further 175 examples based on the AWD Off-Road Look model.
The 500X 4X2 Opening Edition will be powered by a 1.4-litre 140bhp MultiAir II engine, and is priced from £17,595. Based on the Pop Star trim level, the model gains an additional £1,725 of equipment at no additional cost to the customer, including special “Art Grey” pastel paint, 18-inch alloy wheels, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, reversing camera, a collision mitigation system, Keyless Entry & Keyless Go, front armrest and electric front-seat lumbar adjustment, tinted rear windows and Opening Edition badging.
The all-wheel-drive Fiat 500X Cross Plus Opening Edition is powered by the 2.0-litre version of the 140bhp MultiJet II 140hp engine, and is priced from £25,845. Finished in Amore Red, the model gains a black leather interior with red inserts, rain and light sensors, power folding door mirrors, electro-chromic rear view mirror, steering wheel paddle shifters and, Opening Edition badging. This represents an additional £2,850 of standard equipment compared to that already found in the top-of-the-range Cross Plus model.
Available to order now from participating Fiat dealerships, the first deliveries of the 500X Opening Edition models are expected to commence in May 2015.
