Lexus has revealed a performance package named after the German race-track for its LFA supercar at the Geneva Motor Show.
Only 50 of the 500 LFAs which Lexus plans to produce will be offered in this specification, released by Lexus to celebrate the LFA's hat-trick of class wins at the Nurburgring. The new cars will be built by the Japanese manufacturer during 2012.
The LFA Nurburgring develops 562bhp - 10bhp more than the standard car and offers increased downforce at high speeds thanks to a front spoiler, side spoilers, rear wing and fin. The Nurburgring also sits 10mm lower than the standard LFA. The spoilers create extra drag which means that, despite the LFA Nurburgring's extra 10bhp, the car reaches 62mph in the same time as the standard model - 3.7 seconds.
Buyers will be able to choose from a list of only four exterior colours: matte black, black, orange and white with a choice of interior colours between black, black and red, and black and purple.
There is no word yet on the price but with standard LFAs starting at £336k, the LFA Nurburgring is unlikely to be cheap.
