Lexus has reportedly revealed that its LF-LC hybrid concept car will go into production within three years.

We told you about the LF-LC Concept when it was revealed at this year's Detroit Motor Show and now it seems that Toyota's luxury division is seriously considering selling the LF-LC to the public.

Lexus will be hoping that the LF-LC will act as a 'halo car' -- a sort of technological showcase for the brand which will hopefully recover some of the ground lost to BMW and Mercedes in recent years, especially in the American market.

Lexus hasn't released any official details on the LF-LC's technical gubbins, but it seems likely that it will be based on one of the company's existing models underneath.
