When Lamborghini announced yesterday that the final ever Gallardo had rolled off the production line, we knew it was only a matter of time until they spooled up the PR machine and began the countdown to its successor, the Cabrera.
And, sure enough, just 24 hours later we have our first teaser of Lamborghini's new baby. But instead of the de rigueur teaser images normally released by manufacturers, Lambo has set up a whole new website to promote the Cabrera: www.hexagonproject.com.
Visit the site and you'll see a starter button which when you click on it allows you to hear the Cabrera's engine burst into life. We don't know exactly what the engine will be yet; however, it seems likely that the Cabrera will use an updated version of the Gallardo's 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, developing something in the region of 600bhp.
That's all we can tell you for now; we'll keep you updated with developments as and when they occur.
