Kia has announced it will unveil a new MPV at the New York Motor Show on 19 April.

The new MPV is expected to be a replacement for the existing Sedona, and although Kia has yet to release any information on the car, it has revealed an official teaser image which shows that the new model will feature the company's distinctive corporate front end.

The company also claims that the car will have space for eight passengers and will serve as a "purposeful offering for adventure seekers." Make of that what you will.

Unfortunately, Kia has no plans to sell the new MPV in the UK. The company pulled out of the MPV market in Britain back in 2012 when it pulled the plug on the Sedona. Kia claims that with the current trend for downsizing, there is insufficient demand for large MPVs in the UK to make selling the new car worthwhile.
