Within a month of going on sale the all-new Kia Sportage has entered the UK Top Ten sales chart.

Kia sold a total of 2,889 vehicles last month giving them a 3.46 per cent share of the UK new car market for February, with the all-new Sportage contributing 1,521 of those units.

The all-new Sportage went on sale on 5 February priced from £17,995, with the range featuring 18 variant, four engine options, and a choice of three transmissions.

Paul Philpott, President and Chief Executive of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: ”We have been delighted at the customer response to the all-new Sportage. Our dealers have been swamped by demand for the car with the high-specification trim versions being particularly popular. It is remarkable that Sportage has entered the UK’s Top Ten as the new car has enjoyed its first month on sale and I am confident that we shall see its performance maintained throughout 2016.”
