As we know, Volvo is quite fond of concocting insane stunts to demonstrate how its new technology works.
First they got a ballerina to walk a tightrope between two lorries to demonstrate the precise handling of the Volvo FH, then they persuaded a hamster to steer a truck up the side of a Spanish quarry to demonstrate the vehicle's Dynamic Steering system.
Now, however, it's the turn of a certain Mr Jean-Claude Van Damme to demonstrate Volvo's impressive steering system. Volvo asked the Muscles from Brussels to stand on the mirrors of two moving trucks while they were being reversed at high speed to show the stability of the trucks' new Dynamic Steering system.
And as if that wasn't enough, the trucks were slowly steered apart, coaxing Van Damme into performing one of his legendary splits while still keeping a foot on both of the lorries.
The film was directed by Andreas Nilsson, famous for directing music videos for the likes of MGMT, Goldfrapp and Moby, and was completed in one take.
Talking about the stunt, Van Damme said: "What you see is a body crafted to perfection. A pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics. And a mindset to master the most epic of splits."
