Within a year of its launch, the Vauxhall/Opel Insignia has hit the 100,000 sales milestone.

The news comes in the same week the Insignia was announced as Best Upper Medium model and overall runner up in the Company Car Today CCT100 awards.

The flagship Insignia is available in Grand Sport and Sports Tourer body styles – the latter with a rugged Country Tourer option – while a GSi performance model joins the line-up this spring.

Insignia buyers benefit from state-of-the-art technologies such as adaptive cruise control, IntelliLux LED matrix headlights, and ergonomic seats certified by the back-specialists from AGR, as well as competitive ownership costs.

Ninety per cent of Insignia customers choose the optional Navi 900 IntelliLink top-of-the-range infotainment system, which features an eight-inch capacitive colour touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Insignia has won multiple award both in this country, and on the continent where it is marketed as the Opel Insignia.
