With the Goodwood Festival of Speed just a week away, a Czech-based company by the name of Innotech has revealed plans to unveil a new track-day car at the annual event.
Called the Innotech Aspiron, the new car is a stripped-out racer which tips the scales at just 760kg, partly thanks to its all carbon-fibre body and partly due to the fact that there really isn't that much to it.
Although clearly modelled after a single-seater racer, the Aspiron does in fact have seating for two, with two carbon-fibre racing seats with six-point harnesses fitted to its open cockpit.
Underneath, the Aspiron comes with a choice of Chevrolet V8 engines producing anywhere between 500bhp and 800bhp. An ethanol-fuelled variant with a power output in the region of 1,000bhp is also reportedly in the pipeline.
The power is sent to the rear wheels via a Ricardo six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
Prices for the Innotech Aspiron start from £117,918 for the 500bhp version, rising to £161,445 for the full-fat 800bhp model.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 12 to 14 July.
