Hyundai is set to reveal a new sports car concept at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
Called the PassoCorto, the new two-seater rear-wheel drive coupe is the work of a group of design students from the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) design school in Turin in collaboration with Hyundai's European design studio.
The students were tasked to produce a concept aimed at a young audience and to design a car which would appeal to users who are constantly connected to the internet and social media.
Powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo engine producing 262bhp, the PassoCorto's name literally means 'short wheelbase' in Italian.
Hyundai claims that the PassoCorto is purely a design study and will not make it into production. It will go on show at the Geneva Motor Show next week alongside the company's new hydrogen-fuelled Intrado concept.
