The Houston Art Car Parade has been held annually since May 1986, in Houston, Texas. This year's showing included all sorts of weird and wonderful creations, the banana car (above) - which was built to raise money and awareness for Deep Vein Thrombosis - was a big favourite amongst the revellers.

The visibility in this peacock car leaves a lot to be desired. Ten out of ten for campness though...
This one gets a special mention simply because it looks more like a boat than most boats...
