Honda are sending a fresh batch of NSX models to the UK as demand for the US-built supercar continues to massively outweigh supply.
The 573bhp, 3.5-litre V6-powered NSX was launched last summer, and UK buyers have already gobbled up the initial allocation of 100 cars. Now, with an extra 50 cars bound for the UK from Honda’s Ohio plant, potential customers will be able to get their hands on a new NSX in the coming months.
In an effort to cope with demand, Honda have also expanded their NSX-specialist dealer network. Previously, Crown Honda in Hendon were the sole supplier and aftercare specialists for NSX models, but these have now been joined by Chiswick Honda.
Priced from just under £150,000, the Honda NSX is capable of 0-62mph in less than three seconds and a top speed of 191mph. It’s V6 power plant is joined by no less than three electric motors, and comes with four different driving modes to optimise the engine, motor, transmission, chassis response, and engine sound level to each scenario.
Honda UK chief Dave Hodgetts explained, “The NSX represents both the pinnacle of engineering for Honda when it comes to road cars and also continues the heritage of Honda’s original NSX supercar produced between 1990 and 2005, which makes it all the more sought-after. The confirmation of this fresh allocation to arrive in the UK next year will allow the die-hard fans that haven’t been able to get their hands on the latest NSX to finally get their wish – all they need to do is get in touch with either Crown Honda or Chiswick Honda.”
