BMW has released pictures and details of the new facelifted Z4, ahead of its debut at next month's Detroit Motor Show.
The big news is that a new entry-level Z4 is now on offer. Under the bonnet, the new Z4 sDrive18i is fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine which produces 154bhp and 177lb-ft of torque. This makes for a 0-62mph time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 137mph.
A six-speed manual gearbox delivers the power to the rear wheels, and an eight-speed auto box can also be specified.
The sDriver18i is also relatively frugal, returning a combined 41.5mpg and emitting 159g/km of CO2.
BMW has also introduced a raft of cosmetic improvements across the Z4 range, adding new LED headlights, new alloy wheel options and a host of minor exterior trim upgrades.
On the inside, buyers can also now specify the Design Pure Traction styling pack, which includes black and orange trim. New gloss black trim comes as standard and models from the sDrive28i upwards come with leather upholstery as standard.
The new BMW Z4 will go on sale in the UK in April.
