The National Motor Museum will play host to a 1977 Cadillac Seville owned by the King of rock and roll Elvis Presley.
Elvis Presley chose the American classic back in 1976 and selected the silver and burgundy paint job which has remained in perfect condition since. Indeed, the entire car is in its original condition including the CB radio which Elvis had installed in order to get in touch with the Graceland kitchens from anywhere on the site.
The car was manufactured by General Motors as an Automatic V8 and then went on to have its body specially built by Fisher for Cadillac. Electronic windows were installed alongside a grey interior with wood grain accents on the dashboard, steering wheel and doors.
The car was bought in August at an auction of Elvis memorabilia coinciding with Elvis week at Graceland. Steve Horn paid $81,250 and gave it to his wife as a gift. It was the last car Elvis ever purchased for his personal use and it is believed that he was driving it on the day before his death; it was one of around 200 Cadillacs Elvis bought during his life, many of them given away as gifts to friends and family.
