The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV’s popularity with UK buyers shows no sign of waning, according to the latest sales figures.
It remains the UK’s best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV with 3,167 this year to the end of October, but it is in the commercial vehicle sector where the model is experiencing its biggest sales growth. The same period saw 235 commercial vehicle Outlander PHEV’s sold, an increase of 44% compared to 2019.
To build on this, a new, high-specification commercial version, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Reflex Plus Commercial, was recently added to the range, priced from £24,699 CV OTR. This includes 18-inch alloy wheels, eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, and a reversing camera. This is in addition to the standard features of all Outlander PHEV commercial models, such as advanced four-wheel-drive, rear spoiler, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats, DAB radio, keyless operation, dual-zone climate control, full load bay bulkhead, and a flat load area measuring 1.65m in length and 1.00m in width between the wheel arches and with a maximum payload of 500kg. Outlander PHEV commercial are eligible for the UK government’s Plug-In Van Grant, so businesses benefit from a saving of £8,000.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV commercial vehicles now come with free servicing and roadside assistance for three years on top of the usual five-year, 62,500 mile warranty, and additional eight years/100,000 mile traction battery warranty.
