Chevrolet's new small 4x4, the Trax, is set to make its worldwide debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.

The Trax will appear in UK showrooms from next spring, along with the new Malibu saloon and the Cruze estate.

Chevy has revealed very little information about the Trax but we can reveal that it will seat five and will compete with the Nissan Juke, Kia Soul and Toyota Urban Cruiser in the tiny 4x4 market.

Susan Docherty, President and MD of Chevrolet Europe said, "Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and car-like handling that urban explorers require."
